Don't fresh fruits convey a great feeling of summer and fitness?

We had prepared this fresh fruit for our guests when we inaugurated our new two-component injection moulding machine, just before the corona crisis.

This machine, which offers a 60% reduction in set-up times, is now producing pretty unspectacular but extremely sophisticated two-component plastic parts for drinking water supply. We don't know, but it is very likely that one of these elements was used in the water supply system to rinse and wash the fruit.

NOVOPLAST has been producing this and many other such products in the fields of hygiene and food for decades. In fact, our company has been around for 75 years. Of course we would have celebrated this milestone at length. But here too, the corona virus thwarted our plans. Incidentally, we process 1,100 tons of plastic materials per year for markets such as apparatus engineering, medical technology, construction, and sanitary / drinking water applications. The sophisticated tool concept and the specification for the new two-component injection moulding machine were developed in close cooperation with Georg Fischer AG, + GF + Piping Systems

Our many years of experience in the manufacture of two-component injection moulded parts, supplemented by fresh knowledge and technology, guaranteed efficient project implementation. The months-long tests on the test bench were also successful on the first attempt.

We were delighted to have the managers of Georg Fischer AG, + GF + Piping Systems at the inauguration event. "Congratulations" was the spontaneous reaction from Engineer of Georg Fischer AG, when he was presented with the new injection moulding machine. "For us, the new machine saves time and means process reliability and consistency," said he. Customers from Griesser AG and Büchi Labortechnik AG were also present at the event, and were also impressed by the new system. This project once again allowed us to demonstrate our core competence in the area of sophisticated technical components for the hygiene and food sectors.

At the client event, I also presented modern tools that we have been using for a few months. Among other things, the Internet-based messaging tool Slack (Searchable log of all communications and knowledge), which is used for communication between employees, production companies, customers and external partners. I also reported on Trello Boards, where teams can organise their projects electronically and transparently.

Guest were impressed by the digitisation and in particular by the Slack system. We heard statements like: "I am impressed by how modern and innovative the company's ideas are. It's the right way to stay fit." We all want to stay fit. Which brings us back to our original topic. Summer is bearing down on us. And experts predict that it should be a great, hot summer. And so is particularly important to always treat yourself to enough fresh water and naturally juicy fruits, alongside the fine grilled dishes. Water that most likely flowed through our sophisticated two-component plastic parts. And juicy fruits that were rinsed with water from the piping system using one of the new Novoplast elements. As you can see, we do everything we can to ensure that we will all stay fit in the future. Hot summer or not.

At 75 years old, we feel that we are in the prime of life. Incidentally, the company is still owned by the founding families. On the one hand, we enjoy years of experience, but we are also young enough to be curious, to learn, to experience, to look for new things, and to be flexible.
