ThyssenKrupp Stairlifts B.V. aimed to work with as few suppliers as possible on this project. Therefore, this supplier had to offer comprehensive services such as development support, production, procurement, and Kanban delivery all from one source. The timeline was ambitious: the project had to be coordinated and completed within 13 months, from order placement to the zero series.

For the first time in this project, the customer relied on establishing and approving samples according to the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process). This involved a large number of diverse documents and evaluating the CPK value (Process Capability Indices: metrics for statistically evaluating a process) for 70% of the components.
